Function
PTL3 Antibody targets a lipid particle-localized triacylglycerol (TAG) lipase. Lipid droplets/particles serve as a depot for energy storage and provide building blocks for membrane lipid biosynthesis. PTL3 is involved in the mobilization of non-polar storage lipids, triacylglycerols (TAGs), from lipid particles. This process occurs through the hydrolysis of TAGs, releasing specific fatty acids that are then supplied to appropriate metabolic pathways.
